I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts way back when, but moved to Texas as soon as I could (actually my parents did the moving, I was only one at the time). Grew up in Texas City *cough* *cough* *haaaaaack*, went to college at UT, went back to TC for a few years, then moved back to Austin when I got back on my feet again.
I just bought a house recently, where I will be living with Desiree and Heath (also TC transplants).
Someway somehow, I turned an incompete Journalism degree into a career at the IRS. I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. If you call the day after you file your return and ask where the hell your refund is, you might be talking to me.
Before that I worked a few years bartending and waiting tables in Galveston. I worked at Gaido's, Landry's and the Strand Brewery (Which is no longer there, there's now a Fuddruckers at that location.) There comes a moment when one realises that its time to leave the serving industry. Mine came when I cussed out a customer for stiffing me on a tip. Boy, did that ever feel good. After that I worked data entry at a plant in Deer Park before moving to Austin.
I lost both my parents back in 2003 and 2004. Since then my life has been a series of "wish they were here moments."
When not working, eating, or sleeping, I enjoy collecting comics, singing karoake, playing trivia, singing karaoke while playing trivia (you know its my turn when Edie or Everett yell "Put down the game, you're next!), or just messing around on the computer.
